The sea has always been Bergen's lifeblood. As early as the Middle Ages, Hanseatic merchants turned Bryggen into an international center for the stockfish trade. Since then, the sea has created jobs, shaped the city's food culture, and put Bergen on the world map as a leading seafood city.

For us at Fjellskål, the sea is more than a resource – it is the foundation for everything we do. For over 100 years, we have sourced the best from the sea and shared it with our customers and guests. Those who shop with us, those who gather around our tables – they continue this tradition. As a proud seafood player, we bear a responsibility to safeguard this heritage and at the same time elevate the seafood experience to new heights.

During One Ocean Week, politicians, scientists and businesses come together to discuss the future of the ocean – how we manage resources, ensure quality and strengthen the seafood industry. We mark the week with an exclusive 4-course menu, a tribute to the ocean, prepared with respect and passion for the ingredients.

The menu is served every day throughout One Ocean Week (April 5 – April 11) during our regular opening hours.

One Ocean Week is about understanding, preserving and further developing the values of the ocean.
